Our network connects and supports a community of people and organizations who are working to understand how climate change is impacting the species, habitats, and communities in our region.
Projects are investigating how habitats, communities, and species are changing in our watershed and into the Gulf of Maine. Explore our collection of projects designed for Individuals and/or Groups to find one that interests you!
Local Contexts is a global initiative that supports Indigenous communities with tools that can reassert cultural authority in heritage collections and data. By focusing on Indigenous Cultural and Intellectual Property and Indigenous Data Sovereignty, Local Contexts helps Indigenous communities repatriate knowledge and gain control over how data is collected, managed, displayed, accessed, and used in the future. By partnering with Local Contexts, we aim to build greater trust with the indigenous communities we serve. The Ecosystem Investigation Network is committed to the development of new modes of collaboration, engagement, and partnership with Indigenous peoples for the care and stewardship of past and future heritage collections. If you are interested in collaborating, please contact [email protected]
